One of my favorite things about the holidays is all the wonderful seasonal treats that come out. Everywhere you look it’s like the flavors of the holidays are everywhere. From sweets to bread, all the way to coffee, you can truly consume the holiday spirit. Community Coffee is no different. They’ve come out with a new seasonal flavor blend called the Dark Chocolate Peppermint blend.
Community Coffee is a pretty popular coffee brand but just in case you’ve never had the pleasure of trying their great-tasting coffee let me give you a little information about the brand. In 1919, “Cap” Saurage discovered something special to making their now famous coffee. Since then over four generations are still perfecting the many different blends for coffee lovers worldwide. They source their beans from farms all over and are constantly trying new innovations for better sourcing and roasting techniques. Their passion is coffee.
And every time I try a new flavor blend of Community Coffee, I can taste that passion. That’s no different with their new Dark Chocolate Peppermint. It’s made with 100% Arabica coffee beans to create a medium roast that offers the flavors of rich dark chocolate and smooth peppermint. This blend comes ground or in single serving pods. What I enjoyed about this blend is the very subtle hints of peppermint. There have been many times that I drank a “peppermint” flavored coffee only to be bombarded with overpowering minty flavor. Those I didn’t care for. But the Community Coffee’s blend, I found to have a perfect balance of medium roast coffee, dark chocolate, and peppermint. The flavor combination reminds me of the holidays.
In fact, it’s so well balanced I didn’t see the need for cream or sugar. It was perfectly great just black. Even my husband, someone who is pretty picky when it comes to flavored coffees, loved the Dark Chocolate Peppermint. If you are someone who enjoys flavored coffee but still loves to be able to taste the natural flavor of a good cup of joe, then I highly recommend the Community Coffee Dark Chocolate Peppermint blend.
Not only does the coffee seem appropriate for the season but I think with the stress of the holidays, we could all use a good pick-me-up.
