It’s no surprise that I’ve fallen madly in love with the Boho style craze. I’ve mentioned it before in many posts. I just love everything about the style. It incorporates the old school hippie vibe, with down to earth mother nature. I mean, what’s not to love about it? It just feels so right. Not to mention most of the clothes are the most comfortable I’ve ever been. And the jewelry! Don’t even get me started! Animals, tribal, bangles, gemstones! I love it all! So when I was given the opportunity to review a JadeCrate box, I jumped at the chance!
JadeCrate is a monthly subscription box that offers wellness and organic products that embrace the boho and free lifestyle. Each box is a wonderful surprise that can feature many different items such as home and lifestyle products, tasty treats/snacks, fashion accessories, home decor, and much more. JadeCrate not only provides you with items that set your soul free to wander but they also support fair-trade and global suppliers/crafters across the globe. So that they may obtain fair wages and sustainable living.
JadeCrate offers two different subscription options: The Pico Boho Subscription Box and the Monthly Boho Box. The Pico Boho Subscription Box is a smaller more affordable version of the Monthly Box. It runs at a price of $25, for a one-time purchase, or $23.75 if you choose to subscribe. Each Pico Boho Box features 3 unique items from the larger box. These items can be anything from the above-mentioned list. It’s still a great box even though it features fewer items but personally, I would go for the larger box because this is a subscription box that you’re not going to want to miss out on.
The Monthly Boho Box is really amazing! It features a mix of 5-7 items. These items can be Global Fair Trade, handcrafted home goods, organic treats, artisan accessories from around the world, and all natural skin products. The larger JadeCrate Monthly Box costs $45 for a one-time purchase AND it’s on sale right now! If you want to subscribe you’ll save 5% for a price of $42.75. This is the size box that I got and let me tell you, it’s pretty great! I love everything in my box! This is the option to choose! You won’t be disappointed!
Inside my box was a total of 7 items and each item completely embodies the boho spirit. Below you can find out exactly what I got and what to expect should you try out JadeCrate for yourself.
The very first item that caught my eye is the Buddha Bowl Organic Popcorn. I consider myself a pretty big snacker, so naturally, the food would catch my eye first. I’ve never had Buddha Bowl before and I’m pretty excited to try the organic popcorn with Himalayan pink salt. It’s NonGMO, Vegan, and Gluten Free! So I can feel free to indulge. A very nice choice for the food option in this months box.
Next item to catch my eye is this beautiful blue glass and ornate candle holder. This item is so beautiful that the photo doesn’t even do it justice. The blue glass is speckled with light blue almost silver dots so it gives it a more dimensional look. The metal casing and detail to the pattern really makes it stand out. What’s great about this piece is it can have many uses. It works as a candle holder, a pencil holder, or my personal favorite choice, a makeup brush holder. Just picture this beauty on your vanity holding all your fabulous brushes. In fact, I may just have to step up my makeup brush game so that it matches the holder.
JadeCrate surely didn’t disappoint on the jewelry this month. Inside the box, there are these dangly elephant earrings. They are made of a light metal so they aren’t heavy when worn. The backs are fish hooks so they add length. The elephants have amazing detail to them that almost appears to be tribal. One thing I will note about the earrings, due to the light metal frame I do suggest that you be careful when storing these earrings as they can be bent rather easily. But if you hang them up or place them in a drawer when not in use, you should be ok.
The next and last jewelry item this JadeCrate box is this adjustable cuff ring. It’s chunky and gorgeous. The color patterns on this ring are what really make this a boho item. It features turquoise, silver, black, and blue. And what’s really neat is the colors are all string! I’ve never seen jewelry decorated like this. The top piece is actually a bead that threaded onto the ring. This ring definitely gives me boho, hippie, tribal, and even Native American vibes. It’s beautiful and sure to be an eye-catcher.
Another great foodie item is the Art of Tea Jasmine Reserve tea packet. I was actually surprised when I saw this because jasmine tea is the first type of tea I ever had and it’s my absolute favorite. So much so, that I even have my own jasmine plants in my yard. There’s something about that overpowering floral scent that calms me. If you’ve never had jasmine tea, I highly suggest it with some honey. I’m super excited about this because you can never have enough jasmine tea.
JadeCrate also included their very own Natural Boheme lotion. It uses natural almond, jojoba, and avocado oils to create a rich lotion that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave an oily feeling behind. It’s very lightly scented which is nice when your someone who has scent triggered migraines like me. I love the 2 oz bottle because I can actually carry it with me in my bag. A very nice little treat for the upcoming winter.
The last and probably most impressive item in this month’s JadeCrate box is this month’s artisan item. This handmade 20″ x 70″ silky polyester scarf made by Asha Handicrafts. Based in Mumbai, India, Asha Handicrafts creates right silk fabrics, woodcarvings, and carpets. They are a not-for-profit making body that promotes Fair Trade and Fair Trade practices. And they are a member organization of The World Fair Trade Organization. You can definitely tell the scarf is handmade with care. It’s a silky lightweight fabric that is very breathable and colorful. The scarf features many different colored feathers on an off-white background.
Like I said previously in this post, I love every single item in this box. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of each item. You can tell that JadeCrate carefully chooses which items to include in their boxes. This is a subscription box that I would certainly love to have delivered to my front door every month.
