Every morning I wake up as a Mombie, (Mom + Zombie), due to the lack of sleep that I get. Which is to be expected as a mother of three, one of those being a toddler. So I, like all other mothers out there, rely on my morning coffee. But most days after I make my morning cup, assuming I can even remember how to work my coffee maker, set it down somewhere and forget it. Leaving it cold or just no good. Those are the days when I wish I had a live-in barista or at least lived within walking distance of a local coffee shop. Then I could just wake up and have my perfectly poured coffee ready to go.
But let’s be honest, both of those options would be far too expensive, so having already made coffee sitting longingly in my fridge is the next best option. Community Cold Brew Coffee is a cold brewed coffee that you can make in a 2-quart pitcher and it’ll last you for days. It uses Community Coffee’s blended and ground 100% select Arabica beans stored in filter bags (2 filters per pouch). The process is super easy to make and it only takes a little bit of preparation time for enough coffee that stays fresh for 7-10 days. That means the moment I wake up, there’s ice cold coffee ready for me. All I have to do is pour!
To make a pitcher of Community Cold Brew Coffee, you take a 2-quart pitcher or larger, if you prefer, and fill it with 4 cups of cold, filtered water. Then place your filter bags inside the water and steep it in the fridge for up to 24 hrs. Once you’re satisfied with the length of time you’ve steeped, add another 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. And your coffee is ready to be enjoyed! Pour over ice or add some creamer and you’ve got a quick and easy morning coffee.
One pitcher lasted me about 7 days long, with just one cup of coffee in the morning. Depending on how much coffee you drink and depending on how many people in your house will be drinking it, it probably won’t last that long. But since you get about 2 pitchers full per box, you just make yourself up another one. The flavor is amazing and I do prefer ice, sweetener, and creamer in my coffee. It’s like having my own coffee shop in my fridge. I love knowing that my coffee is ready for me in the morning. Community Cold Brew Coffee is something that’s going to be a regular on my shopping list.
