My newest obsession and probably my favorite summer fashion item is harem pants. They are the perfect attire for hot summer days because they are made of such a lightweight and breathable fabric. Plus they add so much more flare than regular jeans or shorts. But finding the right shop to buy them from can be tricky. Personally, I love purchasing items from companies that give back in one way or another, One Tribe Apparel, is one of those brands.
Every product sold by One Tribe Apparel is made in Thailand by artisans who are paid fairly and for each product sold, a portion of the purchase goes to the Elephant Nature Park in Chang Mai, Thailand. This park rescues and rehabilitates endangered animals, such as elephants, and allows them to roam freely in a protected environment. Each donation goes to caring and providing medicine for the park. That’s all the reason I need to shop at One Tribe Apparel.
One Tribe Apparel offers many different products ranging from Kimonos, Crochet Tops, Bags, Leggings, Shorts, Alladin Pants and Harem Pants for women. In fact, they have over 50 different styles of harem pants, all with different patterns and fun colors. That’s such a big collection that I could wear different harem pants for each day of the month if I really wanted to. And they are so easy to pair with a top that it makes getting dressed for the day a breeze. Not to mention, they are just so comfortable. It feels like I’m walking around in my pajamas. That’s why I love harem pants.
The Purple Plume Peacock Harem Pants are my new favorite bottoms. They are made out of local materials such as bamboo rayon. They are also hand stitched and dyed using traditional village techniques. All of these features combined are what give them that spacious roomy feeling that lets me wear them no matter what I’m doing for the day. They are perfect for yoga, lounging around at the lake, or even going hiking. All that bamboo rayon material makes them incredibly breathable. I’d choose harem pants over jeans any day.
It’s pretty easy to see why this style of harem pants are my favorite. I mean come on, they match the color of my hair! How could I not love them? And the print is amazing. Starting with the elastic waistband, I have different shades of purple with a fun pattern that flows down into these beautiful purple peacock feathers. And it ends with these adorable white and purple circles. The whole thing is just a treat for the eyes. Plus, they have a coordinating pocket! I love pockets!
But because they are so specially created, they do take special care when washing. To prolong the life of my harem pants, I handwash them with delicate soap and hang dry them. One Tribe Apparel recommends not to dry them in the sun because the sun could fade that beautiful print. And I certainly wouldn’t want that to happen. I want them to last as long as they can. And that’s another great thing about harem pants, no matter what shape my body is in, the super stretchy elastic waistband allows them to grow with me. They can fit body sizes from size XS – L. Even the bottom of the legs, have elastic bands so I can choose to wear them at their full length or pull them up into a cute capri style.
Harem Pants are one of the greatest fashion finds that I’ve stumbled across. Not only are they amazingly comfortable, super light weight, and breathable, but they definitely make a statement. To me that statement is, “I don’t have to sacrifice my comfort, to look amazing!” I highly recommend that you give them a try. You’d be giving back to a wonderful charity, the Elephant Nature Park, by purchasing through One Tribe Apparel and you might just find yourself in love with them.
